          St:Marys Sunday School is a Unit of the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Christian Sunday School Association (MJSSA), functioning under the patronage of Holy See of Antioch is actively functioning in our Church from 1932. It is affiliated to MALANKARA JACOBITE SYRIAN SUNDAY SCHOOL ASSOCIATION with Head Quarters at Puthencruz, near Kochi.

           Stmarys Sunday school started in the year 1896 in a tached shead by the initiative of HG Geevarghese mor gregarious (Parumala Kochu Tirumeni ). We are leading Sunday school in MJSSA pallikkara district both in Academic and balakalolsavam.During the proceeding 8 years we were winners of overall trophies and we were awarded the best Sunday school trophy pallikkara district ( academic ) by the district in 2016. We were winners in balakalolsavam at MJSSA level. We have own an average 170 students from class 1 to class 12. Our head master is Mr.TK Mathew Thacheth and the teacher strength is 21.Our class timing is from 1.30 pm to 4 pm on all Sundays. We are conducting vacation bible school since 1980's.

           This is a spiritual organization functioning in all the parishes of the Church throughout Kerala and various parts of the world outside the State. It takes care of the spiritual nurturing of the children, by bringing them up in the knowledge and fellowship of Jesus Christ. It imparts knowledge and wisdom to the students at their young age. so that they can be groomed as the future soldiers of the Church and its Faith. The curriculum consists not only of biblical studies but also encompasses church history, liturgy, sacraments and contemporary social problems affecting the church life. The classes are conducted in Malayalam for the children in Kerala and for others in English..

           The classes range from primary classes to the 12th class. As in secular schools, class ten concludes the secondary level and certificates are awarded by JSSLC, the final Certificate to the successful candidates who complete the tenth class and pass the common examinations. Higher Secondary course is for another two years attended by a number of enthusiastic students.This Sunday School jointly participate in VBS, Teachers Seminars and Christmas Carols.
